Serious Update Action!!!

Okay, without any further adu (I'm not sure if that's really how it's spelled), here is what I have been up to for the last while. Just so you know, this is going to be a REALLY LONG post, so be prepared! But, there are a lot of pictures, so that should help. Here we go!

So, the second week in May, Albert had an insurance conference in San Antonio, so I took work off to go with him. He was actually in meetings a good portion of the week, so I mostly got to hang out with my parents. We had a lot of fun and it was so great to get away and just chillax (that's a new word I heard a while ago that I really liked) for a week!

Albert and I walked around the River Walk a lot and one night we decided to go see a 3-D movie about the ocean. I was really cool and we got to wear these really hot glasses!

My mom and I took a day and went to Sea World which was a ton of fun! I have always loved going there and it was really cool because we got to go when we were little kids when Sea World first opened and while we were there, they were having their 20th Anniversary.

Of course we got to see Seymour and the really cute Sea Lion show. It is really amazing to see the kinds of thing these animals are trained to do.

Shamu was awesome, too, as always! How incredible!

We took a break in the middle of the day to go get some delicious Rudy's BBQ. "The Worst BBQ in Texas" is their slogan. Hmmm.... so not true! That crap is GOOOOOOD! Oh yah, that is the best cream corn ever made that you are looking at right there.

Here we are right before the ski show started. This is my cute mom's favorite show at Sea World. Do y'all like her awesome hat? I think she has a secret dream of being one of the ski girls. They are really talented, but I think Mama Roberts could show those little girls a thing or two.

This is after we went on the log/tube ride and got soaked! You can't tell because the retarded guy who took our picture didn't get our bottom halves that we were trying to show off. But the top turned out okay, I guess.

Here I am testing out the dead fish to make sure they are okay to feed to the dolphins. Mmmmmmm............ TASTY!

I love dolphins! They are amazing creatures and so fun to feed!

This is one of my favorite things to do at Sea World! Big, big thanx to my fabulous mother for spending the day with me! I was so much fun, even though you were too chicken to go on the "scary" rides with me! ;)

Here are Albert and I with Cousin Chris at this really cool restaurant that I can not remember the name of. Cuz is the coolest! Thanx again for chilling with us!

My parents were there with us and treated us to dinner. It was great! Although, I still don't understand why Albert insists on making that cheesy face in so many pictures.

We went golfing at the country club that my parents belong to, Sonterra. It was awesome! Earlier that day, my mom and I went and played tennis and my 52 (sorry for the misprint of your age earlier, mom) year old mother SMOKED ME!!! She has some mad tennis skills.

Here is Albert trying to get out of the sand for the millionth time that week. His golf game was a little off. He doesn't usually spend that much time in the sand.... or so he says, anyway.

Overall, the guys had a great time golfing and we all enjoyed a great week spending time together in Texas. What a cool place! Thanx again, Mom and Dad for all the good times!

A few weeks ago, we had some friends over for a BBQ. We had a brisket in our freezer that we needed to use, so Albert decided he would use the REAL BBQ grill that we inherited from my parents to cook it. This thing is really old and has had a lot of use in its lifetime, but it is still as good as ever! Thanx, again, guys!

We even used some Texas BBQ sauce. It was still really good, even though it was the Sissy Sauce.

Here are our friends Landon, Jaron, Brenon and Mandi that we shared this sweet BBQ-ing experience with.

I got to go to Girl's camp the second week of June and it was a blast! I was sad, though because I was only able to go half the week, but it was still great. I took a couple of my girls (Kaitlyn on the left and Cali on the right) on the 4th year hike and that was a lot of fun, too! The hike almost got cancelled because it snowed earlier that morning, but the weather cleared and we got to go.

The girls were awesome and didn't complain once while we were hiking. We sort of adopted another girl named Brooke from our neighboring ward. She was the only one from her ward to go on the 4th year hike. Here we are at the top of a mountain - I can't remember the name of the look-out spot we were at, but behind us in the distance is Heber City. It is so beautiful up there.

Well, the snow came back in the middle of the night. This is about 5:30 the next morning. I was one of the first ones up because I was tired of unsuccessfully trying to warm up in my sleeping bag on the freezing cold ground.

It got down to 26 degrees F. Brrrrrrrrrrr....... It was pretty cold, but we survived and we all had a good time.

Okay, so here are some pictures from the relay race I ran in. It's called the Wasatch Back Ragnar Relay. This is my team "Chix from the Stix". There were 12 of us on the team and we ran relay style from Logan to Park City, about 180 miles total. So, from left to right, there is Karen, Deb, me, Alawna, Jenna, Kim, Laura, KaeCee, Lexi, Sue, and Carol. The only problem is that there is one more girl missing and she was running at the time this picture was taken, and I can't remember her name, but she is Carol's sister.

We had to split up into 2 vehicles so this is the group of ladies I ran with in Van #2. This is right before we started the race, so that is why we all look pretty fresh still. Notice how I am, by far, the whitest chick on the team. How embarassing! From left to right, Jenna, KaeCee, Laura, Alawna, Kim and me.

Here I am with my awesome sis-in-law, Jenna who ran with me! She's the best, and quite the athlete! We had so much fun riding in the car together for a day and a half. I only wish that we lived closer together so we could hang out more often. Thanx again, Jenna for running with me! You rock!

Here I am at the finish line. It was really cool because all 12 of us ran the last 100 yards or so together as a team. It was awesome! What a cool experience. I am so glad I did it.

We went to Oakley to visit Andy, Kelli and Maklee for the 4th of July. We got to go to the rodeo that night which was really cool. This cowboy hat picture is not quite as cool as our other one, but it's all good.

Let me explain....

Every so often, my dear sweet mother-in-law, Gayle, decides to clean stuff out of her house or out of Grandma Millie's place and she thinks that she needs to give her kids back all the stuff that they put away a long time ago that they didn't want back then. SO.... the other day, she was cleaning out the silo at Grandma Millie's old place and found 2 big boxes of Albert's old stuff that he forgot he had and thought he might want it back. Now, I would call that unnecessary "dumping" of old crap on me, but she has a different outlook. Anyway, as Albert was going through these old boxes, he came across his 8th grade (yes, you read that right) basketball uniform, and proceeds to strip off in the living room and squeeze back into "the diaper", as he calls it. I was laughing so hard I was almost in tears, so I thought I would take a picture of it and show off my hot, sexy piece of a man!

I told Albert that I would give him $100 if he would wear that to his next basketball game. He won't have an actual game for a while, but the offer will still stand come basketball season.

I promise, we are nearing the end of this epistle.

We bought 4-wheelers last spring and over the past year or so, 4-wheeling has become one of our favorite things to do together. The only problem is that in the last year that we have been riding, yesterday was the first time I finally remembered to bring my camera! We went up above Yellowstone camp ground which is above Mountain Home and Altamont. We did this trail once last year and loved it, so we went back! This picture is looking out sort of South-Southeast-ish toward Altamont. It is so beautiful up in the High Uintahs.

Here is Albert at the very top of the mountain we rode up, looking over Moon Lake. We had so much fun riding up there and we had a picnic when we got to the top. What a great day!
